It doesn't matter whether

You're a communist

Or a capitalist

Or a unilateral

naturalist.

It doesn't matter if you're a

monarchist, democrat, anarchist,

republican, socialist, or oligarchist.

It doesn't matter who you worship,

Be it Buddha, Baal, The Big Y,

The Big J, The Big A,

Dollars or Women.

It doesn't matter if you're a

globalist or a nationalist

Or a tribal traditionalist.

It doesn't matter what you believe,

But the moment that you start saying,

"Some must die for this idea to live."

Is the moment that you transcend

Your ideology into monstrous tyranny.

So you'd better make damn sure,

When you utter those magic words,

That you can ante up the cost

Funded by anonymous souls.

Because in the past

There have been precious few times,

precious few,

Where you can go back to just ideology.

More often than not, you're in for a career change:

A lot less of point! Counterpoint! Riposte!

A lot less nuance and art and honor.

A colder, more brutal calculus,

A lot more counting bodies where they lay in a pit.
